Headed out shortly to the 1-mile marker for the Marine Corps Marathon, which is right up the street. Cheering on the participants. Always an exciting event here.

I'm enjoying a great US Grand Prix weekend with my son. The Circuit of the Americas facility is wonderful.

Yesterday I got both Honda McLaren drivers to sign my NSX t-shirt.

It's sunny and 75°. Unreal weather for the middle of October. I'm sitting around wondering what to do. The wife already made plans to show a neighbor her horses today and let their daughter ride on a pony, so we had to pass up an offer to meet an MGA couple at a pub on a lake. I feel like I'm all dressed up with no place to go. Got the windows and doors open letting in fresh air. Its too nice to watch live the F1 race or the Steelers. What adds to the frustration is this is it - after today we have a 20° drop in the high temps for the rest of the month.

Dave #1 - (Scoots) congrats on the new grandchild! Excellent! We will be watching for pics!

Dave #2 (dlq) We had some of that weather too. Took the P car to the Quabbin Reservoir https://www.mass.gov/locations/quabbin-reservoir for a little leaf peeping. The foliage is a little disappointing here in New England due to the warm weather, but we saw a few colors The Reservoir is truly one of the most peaceful places we have been to. We packed a lunch, enjoyed the day, top down, of course. Stopped for an early dinner when we got back to town. A couple shots.

Peaceful view from a lake nearby.

^Very nice, Lainey! Is this the reservoir where we had lunch at the Fall Crawl that we attended, (whenever that was?)
