I would love to go to one of these but we will just be getting back from Bermuda.

Each entrant pays a donation of $15. Plus, I’m sure that they will have a 50/50 or some such for the spectators.

Just got home from our road trip. Jose stalled off the coast of New England and the weather was miserable while we were away. We went from going for a walk with our feet in the ocean to beat the heat, to kicking on the heat to take the chill out of the house. Thankfully, we will get a bit more summer tomorrow and into next week. The weekend will be quiet except for attending a cookout/party tomorrow. I guess we have to play "catch up" around the house before returning to work on Monday.

I've been busy in my Loveland, Colorado house the past two weeks. The carpet was replaced over the past three days but the guys ran out of it and there are three or four closets to be finished. Finally, I've got nothing pressing so it's good timing that I'm flying back to California tomorrow for an NSX BBQ at Huntington Beach on Sunday and then to volunteer at Saddleback Hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess it's time to throw in the towel there. I love volunteering there and have over 2,800 hours but I'd rather live in Loveland. I'm flying back to Denver late Wednesday night.

So are all your cars going to be in Loveland? Is there a hospital near you there where you can volunteer?

I have been busy with pipe replacement prep in our condo (see my separate thread). HVAC equipment is sitting in the living room. Lovely...Today is Clarendon Day - music, crafts, food, etc. Clarendon is a community up Wilson Blvd (and down Clarendon Blvd) along the Metro Orange and Silver lines. There is Rosslyn (where we live), Courthouse, Clarendon, Virginia Square, and Ballston. It's a major development corridor in the DC area.

Tomorrow the +1 may run the Clarendon Day (+1) 10K. Also tomorrow is Taste of Georgetown, the community across the Key Bridge from us. Everyone knows Georgetown, at least from the famous university there. Very chi chi. May walk over for some restaurant bites. Today and tomorrow are going to be pretty warm here (89 and 90!), so getting out of the apt without AC and going someplace with AC is on the agenda. Next weekend will be in the 60s. So a temporary discomfort.

I would like to have my NSX and Crosstour in Lake Forest and my Pilot and S2000 in Loveland. I don't know if that'll happen this year, though. The drive is 1,072 miles and it's kind of late in the year for bringing the S across the Rockies.

There's a hospital I plan on checking out for volunteering. It's funny that you brought that up as I just was dreaming about it. I'm glad it was just a dream because the hospital was barren and the people acted like robots.

Going to hear the organ in the Frauenkirche in Dresden. What a beautiful city Dresden has become again!
