Looks like "No Way Jose" is finding some sense of direction - north along the east coast.

NSO pops concert last night was great. Frankie Moreno (two time Vegas Entertainer of the Year) is very talented. Fun evening!

They are going downtown tomorrow instead. Today promises to be very interesting. The +1 is headed over to the Armory to pick up his packet for the half marathon tomorrow AM. He may see some of both groups on the subway. Hope they don't get into it on there!

Had a great dinner with nephew and family for their welcome to DC. The wife is Navajo. I like that they are preserving Navajo traditions for their girls. For instance, the younger one will be one in Oct. They have not cut her hair yet, so she has this head of beautiful dark hair. Tradition requires that they not cut it until she says her first word. I think she may be about ready. The girls had some ice cream for dessert and I could swear the little one said "yum!"

We celebrated my grandson's 12th at my son's house. Another grand occasion. He suggested we do it at his house this year. We only had to bring the steaks, bread, butter, corn, noodles, salad, salad dressing, birthday cake and ice cream, and even the lighting fluid for the grill, and then pay for most of the kid's present. But, what the hell, that's a generation that I don't have words for.... None the less, love 'em all.

We are going for a MORPCA Drive and Dine - Roscoe Village & Winery. This should be a fun little drive Saturday.

A little car museum, Busted Wrench Garage, in Gulfport is hosting a Beer, Arrts, and Cars festival Saturday. So we will probably check that out. I like art.

Otherwise, a quiet weekend with some finishing touches to the old Accord to get her ready for Cruisin' the Coast which kicks off Oct. 1.

A networking group reunion party/BBQ in our backyard Sunday. I was president of this group for three years 17 years ago. Looking forward to seeing some people I haven't seen in many years.

This has been a really strange year weather-wise in Michigan. Unlike all prior years the weekend weather, weekend after weekend, has been great. What's the point of being retired if one has to share the roads with all those working people? This weekend's forecast is no different - it looks great. Sometime in the next couple weeks, hopefully during the week, I hope to get to Art Prize in Grand Rapids. If you like art, and I do, it really is a happening like nothing else in the state.
