Just got back from the garden center where I had to get pots for replanting some of the jungle on the balcony. Nice ride top down out there. Had not driven the car in awhile.

I love your jungle and view! I have been driving my S more a lot lately knowing that it's going to be parked for months when it gets cold.

Thanks. When I bought this apt, I did not expect my agent to find one as quickly as he did. I think I told this story before. They do not come up for sale often in this tier and at that time nothing had been available since the building was constructed in the mid 80s. The only reason this one was is because the owner died and his kids all lived in CA and did not want it. He called me two days after I asked him for very specific requirements to relocate from my other apt in the building. It was just very lucky timing. When I walked in the door and saw the Wash Monument, I said write it up immediately! He locked the door so no else could get in! It was an all cash offer with no contingencies, which was par for the course back in 2006 (and probably still is for the most part here). About an hour before time was going to run out on a response, I got the call that it was mine. I was very happy and still am. My other apt was listed right away and sold in a week. The stars were definitely aligned. The +1 moved in with me and the rest is history.

^ I'm glad you told your story again Deb. My memory is so lousy I did not remember any of it even if you did tell it before. I feel the same way about my Acton, CA house (1985) my Orange County, CA house (2008) and my Loveland, CO (2017) house. The stars aligned for each of them. My CO house had interested me before I was ready to buy. Then it went off the market. When I was ready to buy it was back on the market. The original buyers had to back out so I got it.

^ You're welcome? I for one know I should drink less than I do so I mean it when I say I hope you feel successful.

Just put four plants into new pots, including my mother's hibiscus and a big dracaena. Will post a couple pics after I rearrange the jungle and furniture on the balcony. Headed later for brunch with the +1 and a friend.

We were planning on going to Key West. Now however it looks like we're in hurricane spaghetti watch mode so it looks like we'll stay here in case we have to batten down.
We'll know more by midweek

I’m headed to Florida on 9/9 my Dad keeps telling me September is one of the worst months for hurricanes. I’m getting too old for adventure!

Probably a good idea. My sis has been involved in a few over in Melbourne.

I just flew out of Antigua ahead of Dorian, the tropical storm cat 1- that is now rolling through the islands westwards.
