Our guy is very picky...I don't think he's ever eaten a steak....He will eat pasta with red sauce or alfredo sauce...we have some options.

Send some our way; we need to stock up. We have been enjoying our fire pit these cool evenings.

Headed tomorrow with a friend to Las Vegas to watch the Barrett Jackson auto auction. Nope, won't be driving any home. But always fun to look at.

Rick likes to watch that. Me, not so much. We'll look for you in the crowd! Wear an S2000 hat or T shirt.

As much as I love classic cars I can't stand to watch those shows.

Joan Baez last night was great and relevant to current events.

Not sure when we are going to this, but The Wharf is a pretty cool development on the waterfront in SW DC. A Viking ship is coming Oct 5-15 and we will be touring it.

Hmmm...I see it arrives Fri between 12:30 and 2. Might want to be there for that.

Plans took a bit of a detour this AM. The son and his wife went away for one night and our phone range at 6:10 this AM. The granddaughter had an accident in her car on her way to work. We hurried out to offer emotional support. She's fine, the 2005 Focus is not. She hit a parked car. Didn't see it. Dark in the AM, black car and she may have had an issue with a fogged up windshield, not sure, but what's done is done. She's inexperienced, and young and shiet happens. She assured all she was NOT on her cell phone at 6:00 in the AM. We, as did the officer on scene, told her it was an accident and most important she's OK.

The car was tired but reliable. Now they will need to look for a car for her and it's going to have to be a cheap one as their insurance rate is about to go up even more due to the accident. She just started her job as a CNA (working in the co-op program from school) and has been saving her $. Don't think she's got enough for a car yet.....

Gotta run, off to pick her up from her shift and the grandson needs to get to his soccer game. Happy to help out. Feel bad that our son and his wife's little get away was not as much fun as they hoped. This news is a downer, but we all know it could have been much worse. .I wasn't going to tell them until they were home, but she had called them already.
