A total of 1,463 miles from the time that I pulled out of my drive way on Friday morning to attend the FIRST Annual "Fall Last Call for Fun Run". On second thought maybe we call it the "Fall Iron Butt Run"
Would I do it again? Would YOU do it next year?

We always figured that anything more than 8 hours was too much for a long weekend, but boy did you and many of the Vintage folks shoot that theory all to HE___.

everyone,
While writing my last post Jim was writing his "Priceless" post. After seeing both of them I believe the only equitable solution is to have Spring Fling and the Fall Fun Run on an alternating basis in the north and south. The people that want to attend both can.
Since Spring Fling 06 is already set for Watkins Glen, I would support the Fall Fun Run be in the south. And then just rotate them every year. Just a (valid) thought. Perhaps a third more western location could be thrown in and make it a three location rotation between spring and fall.
For example:
Spring Fling 06 is already set for Watkins Glen
Fall Fun Run in WV or OH
Spring Fling 07 back at Still Bay and the Rain Tree
Fall Fun Run 07 at Cape May, NJ
Just thinking out loud for reaction to this idea?

John Ting, As usual your pictures are great.... makes me want a new camera and your keen eye.
Here's some of my shots:
Waitress from Fri. eve.
Levi, Did the waitress ever apologize for the spill she did on you and Carla?

Spring Fling '07 is already set for SW VA, so you will have to work around that.

In answer to Matt's question as to whether I'd do it again, all I can say is
UH-HUH
I think we will make the Vintage Gathering an annual event. It's way too early to plan for now, especially with the Spring Fling coming up, but over the next few months we'll start thinking about it.

Debs, are you serious or just giving Matt a hard time?
She's serious. This year (Spring '06) the Spring Fling is in Watkins Glen, NY, next year it's scheduled to be held in SW Virginia.

(Me thinking about the great time I missed... boo hoo.......) ..sniff....
As I mentioned to Rob, and as he posted previously. Saturday night in particular was a HOOT. It reminds me of the old motorcyclling expression: "If you have to explain it too them, they will not understand!"

Yes, the voting for WG and SW VA was virtually tied, so the decision was made to opt for WG this time (by one vote) and SW VA next time.
