That's one of the best things about a Vintage meet. With Friday and Saturday nights for socializing, we get to actually talk and get to know each other a bit. Then we got to hear Karla sing. That was a nice surprise.
Especially that Karla can sing. I loved the Patsy Kline number.
Reminded me of the Jimmy Buffet tune "Miss You So Badly".
" I got a head full of feeling higher and an ear full of Patsy Kline,
there is just no one who can touch her, hell, I hang on every line"

Crazy
Patsy Cline
Linda Ronstadt
Karla Strauss
Crazy,
I'm crazy for feeling so lonely,
I'm crazy,
Crazy for feeling so blue.
I knew that you'd love me as long as you wanted,
And then someday you'd leave me for somebody new.
Worry,
Why do I let myself worry?
Wond'ring what in the world did I do?
Crazy,
I'm crazy for thinking that my love could hold you.
I'm crazy for trying,
And crazy for crying,
And I'm crazy for loving you.
Crazy,
I'm crazy for thinking that my love could hold you.
I'm crazy for trying,
And crazy for crying,
And I'm crazy for loving you.
When one of the most beautiful country and western songs ever written is sung perfectly by a woman with a fine voice, it is a work of art. Last Saturday we had the pleasure of hearing a work of art.

I heard you sing............it went something like this
UH-HUH!
I myself wish I knew how to play the piano. That fascinates me. Maybe Granny will come to my house someday, bring her piano and teach me.

With that said, I need to set my Ludwig Jazz set back up. I have not played for my own enjoyment for several years. We had company, that required me taking the drum set down. It is time to set it back up.
