I always had a hankering for the drums. as a kid I got to pound on 'em a few times a family friend's house.
When my youngest wanted to take up drums, I was more than willing to get a set for him.
He quickly lost interest, from then on I banged on them more than he ever did ( note to deliberate non-use of the verb played)
After it was obvious he was not interested, my wife found a co-worker to buy them.
she did seem awfully happy to see them go
