What car do you wish you still had?

By the way, the one you have pictured is not a 1979. They changed bumper and wheel design in 1979 and yours has the earlier bumpers and wheels. I would guess it was a 1978. The major change in 1979 was the "Big Block" motor... 1.5 liter instead of 1.3 and a 5-speed replaced the 4-speed. The 1.5 brought the horsepower up to 78, I think

I wish I still had my '72 Datsun 510 with the BRE suspension. It was my first new car. I had 212,000 miles on it when I sold it, 5 trips to San Antonio, Los Angeles (old girl friend)more times than I care to count.

I'd like to have my 1929 Durant roadster back; with the 1949 Cad engine, 1937 LaSalle transmission and Ford 4:44 differential. When I was a kid, I couldn't afford to give it the care it deserved; now I can.
Oh, and for some strange reason, my 1947 Hudson brougham. A novel car that.
Maybe my 1939 Chevy coupe. The one with the Corvette engine.
How long can I keep going? I've had close to 40 cars. It's a miracle I'm still alive!

The car I wish I still had was my 1971 911S Porsche. I traded my 1973 Triumph TR6 in for the Porsche after Lucas Electrics beat me up with repairs. The S did not have the original engine, which I attempted to locate in the Phildelphia area and also in California when I lived in the Bay Area. I brought the 911 from Mr. Willis who was the original owner of Willis Porsche Audi in Cherry Hill, NJ. The car was stolen from Mr. Willis, and when it was recover, the engine and gearbox were gone. It was Mr. Willis personal car so the car was fully loaded. I ended up trading the car 4 years later after someone broke into it, for a 1975 911S (California Car) which was a real experinece. The 1971 911S today are as rare as some of the early RS's. Gee, why did I do that?

1967 Chevy Impala SS convertible. Bought it from my uncle for $200 after someone stole the front clip off of it after he had a break down. I guarantee any member of the "family" would love it, you could put 10 bodies in the truck (top up of course)
