Jerry, I just came across this thread. I am so sorry to hear about Kathy's Mom. At least she had a peaceful end and was able to be in familiar surrounding. My heartfelt condolences to you all, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Here is the text of a very special email that my daughter (32) sent to her best friends and close family. She's a great kid

Dear Friends--
I wanted to let you know that my Grandma died at about 1:45 this morning.

Thank you for sharing your daughter's touching e-mail. It is a great blessing for Melissa's Grandma to have passed away in such a loving and caring atmosphere. We would consider it her homegoing. Obviously she is blessed to have had a wonderful family. My prayers are with you and your family.

Well, it's my turn again...saddness and hope for Easter:
Heard this weekend that a friend was diagnosed w/ stage 3 breast cancer in Nov. This is the second time around. Finishing her chemo, they now see a spot on her kidney.
44 yrs old recently remarried w/ 2 teenage kids...seems 'unfair' that someone who survived all the hardships she has (ACOA, s abuse, dom abuse 1st marriage) now has to face this.
Oddly to me, she's been able to go to work every 3rd / 4th day after chemo.
Thankfully she's a person of faith and her husband has been terrific as well as her faith community. For those of you who can send a good thought and prayer, her initials are RP.
