Charlie,
You, Michelle and Christian should visit with her. Especially Christian. You'd be amazed at the joy seeing family brings to someone. Before he died last September, my father's eyes would light up when he see my kids or my sister's kids. Go visit.

We just got of the phone with her and she cried saying she would never get to see Christian. I promised her we would bring him down when she got home from the hospital and was feeling well enough. I told her when you are ready for us to come down just say the word and we will be there, all three of us.

..... I recently lost one of my long-time friends. We'd known each for over 30 years......
Passages: Some of our friends have progressive diseases and are starting to show their age. Only one of our 4 parents are left...very few other relatives in that 'Finest Generation'. Many high school classmates have passed on...and especially guys We are now the 'surviving generation'. Sooner or later, one of our best friends will die...and it's not a happy thought.
Thinking more positively, maybe we should start having Vintage Events more ofter :: Fall Colors, Winter Wonderland, Spring Fling AND Summer Sizzle every year!

it's terrible.
Live it as long as you can, because it will end. That's how life is.
