Let us know if you want company. We would do the trip again in a heartbeat. As we entered Napa Valley on SR12 there was a Corvette group southbound. We wished that we were with a group of S2Ks. On the wine train we said almost simultaneously what a great time the wine train would be with a group from S2K.

I still want to take one of the driving courses at Laguna Seca.

I haven't been on much because I am working such crazy hours. I get home at night and just crash. We really needed this trip.

We expect pictures when you take delivery of that shiny new S. Paula wants me to get an 05 Suzuka. She thinks His & Hers S'es would be great. See what you two started!

I just saw this thread today. Glad you enjoyed your trip up to this area. The jellybelly factory is one place we take guests, esp. if they have kids.
Too bad you didn't come the weekend before. Just a week ago, I was out on a nearby lake on my Seadoo and it was over 90 degrees. Then winter hit almost overnight, and I had 3.2 inches of rain on Monday.
Lived here 8 years and have yet to take the Wine Train. Maybe I'm waiting on the Vintage group to visit and we'll take it over. I have been to probably 50 wineries, and only 150+- to go (just in Napa Valley).
Holler if you (or anybody here) heads this way and wants restaurant or hotel tips.

I know the weather down here did the same thing. We had to drain some of the water out of our pool it was up 3.5" from this storm and was running across the deck. The funny thing was on Monday it was raining down here and raining in the Napa/Sonoma area but the central coast from Carmel to Santa Barbera was clear and gorgeous.

Paula and I agreed that wine tasting in cooler temps is better than wine tasting in the heat. We have done Temecula Valley wine tasting when it's been close to 100 and the combo of the wine and heat takes a toll.

I will keep you in mind when we come up that way again. This was our first trip to the Napa Valley and it definitely won't be our last.

As I said in a previous post we would love to get a group from S2KI together for a Napa wine tasting and wine train trip. Maybe between the two of us we could plan something for the spring.

I love that road. Barbara and I did it in a rented Mustang convertible from San Fran down to Carmel and beyond. I really enjoyed seeing Cannery Row as I loved the novel.
