We are on the downside of summer
Our weather is nuts. It was in the 40's yesterday.... it was a real cool top-down trip home late last night from car show that was almost 2-hours away. I know Rob would have loved it. +1 had a blanket over her legs and I had a winter cap on. It was a good reminder of what's just around the corner.
So, tomorrow we are meeting another couple to caravan to either OH or IN (we will decide when we meet in the AM) but the point is it will be a high of 80! Got'a get those rides in before the white crap comes. It's a good reminder also why we love retirement and being able to make plans on a moments notice.

I would have loved it. I love top down driving in the cold. But, I also like top down driving in the warm. It's funny how I look forward to the cold, but when winter gets here I miss the heat of summer. When its summer, I miss winter.
Anyway, I'm glad you had a nice, cold drive. Was the car show good? British cars I assume.

Running my 25 mile commute last week (san top of course) , 4 of 5 days were in the high 40's.
The early morning chill is invigorating.
Taking the long way home this afternoon, sunny as can be, and 66F.
Glorious weather for now, but the leaves are dropping, and it won't be long before
the S goes to its hibernation spot.
I usually try to wait till Thanksgiving to stow it, but last year we got 9" of snow the day before the holiday.
Here's to hoping for a long fall.

I'm loving the lower humidity and temps reaching only into the mid-80s. This and spring are my favorites times of the year. Summer was brutally hot with 100% humidity. I think I've acclimated to warmer temps and when it is down in the 70s in the mornings, I feel as if winter is on its way.
