Great video, loved the music. What speed do you think you maintained? Our first run through the dragon was last year in June about 7pm. There was a black bear coming up from the valley but he changed his mind when he saw us and ducked back down. We were certainly glad he didn't decide to make a run for it across the road!

I can't attest to speed. i was a little preoccupied trying to remain on the edge. I did punch it as hard as I could. A couple of drifts but never left of center. I can't wait to go back.
Music is by Down to the Bone and the song is Brooklyn Heights. It seemd to fit the tempo.

Yah, that makes it!

So explain this to someone who has driven some similar roads but not these. Given the popularity of this route where are the back-markers............ or put another way ...... why are you not catching up with any traffic (ie, the Ring in Germany is one hell'va lot longer and yet one is passing a lot). I see a lot of double yellow lines but no one holding up traffic. Any idea why not?

Slower Traffic will Pull Off the road and let the Faster Traffic Pass Sometimes. Or You just Pull Off the road and let them Gain some Distance.

Seems to work Pretty Good IMHO.

Most locals know the rules and will usually give way. When they do, give them a thank you wave. After all, it is their turf. I get the feeling that the locals try to avoid 129 on the weekends because they know there are a lot of cars and 2 wheelers out there. The main concern I have is someone meeting me in my lane. Never never cross the center line and always keep an eye on the 2 wheeler coming from behind. Some take chances that are really nuts.
Tractor trailers will always use both sides of the road. Why they go that route, I will never understand.

Hey Guano, I was there. I didn't get a chance to run into you. I got some good video of the weekend runs. Just still can't figure out how to get it onto DVD of my DV tapes.
I want that video.
