Why?
For two reasons.

First, I don't know what it is, and second, I'm not sure there is one.

Do you have a valid point to make, or do you just like to see yourself type?

War is part of human nature, its there and it happens. You can either give up and submit Kerry* or you can fight. Peace is good thats what we all want. Due to the attack of 911 we are in a war. I see Bush more agressive at all angles. Has there been anymore 911 attacks so far? NO I belive hes doing an excellent job and will cast my ballot for him November 2nd I'd rather have him on my team. Thats my opinion so agree or disagree

Dean quit making yourself look immature with personal attacks.

That's rather ironic coming from you.

I am in the process of preparing for Fall Colors. I have an 8 hour drive and I am going to leave early tomorrow. I tell you this so that you should understand why I am not going to spend any time replying to your post this evening. I do think there is something very wrong and debatable in your "war is part of human nature" statement and I find that you are prone to making statements and presenting your opinion, which I disagree with, as fact. In fact, I am troubled by much of what you've said.

None the less, I am going to Fall Colors and will reply sometlme on Monday. Have a nice weekend.

Jeff

I maintain, as I've always maintained, that not one of the candidates is perfect. As a matter of fact, much of what we accuse each of goes on on both sides of the aisle.

That said, I don't presume to be able to explain every action, comment and statement of a candidate simply because I am in favor of him/her. In this day and age it is enough to find a candidate, and a party platform, whose philosophy coincides somewhat with yours. If you are looking for an exact match, perfection or strict consistency don't look to politics, look to the church and synagogue. And even there you are liable to be disappointed.

I mention this because of the question that I (and dean) can't answer. No, Mr. Kerry is not perfect, far from it. But, his point of view and philosophy and that of the Democratic party better coincides with the way I see things, and that is why I favor him over Mr. Bush.

Now, I really must get ready for Fall Colors. I am looking forward to meeting you and talking to you face to face. See you tomorrow.

Money and power corrupt. In a highly competitive society, conflicts are bound to arrise. I do not, however, believe that due to the attacks of 9-11 that we should have invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq. I'm not going to turn a blind eye and say everything was peachy over there, but that doesn't mean we had any buisness attacking them. Afghanistan and Pakistan were of the utmost importance as far as Al-Qaeda was concerned, Iraq was not. SliverKnight, truth can be found in your statements about war being in human nature, but does that mean we shouldn't strive for a more enlightened level? Is war worth it if nothing is gained? There are (I believe) 50 muslim nations on the planet at this point. Not ONE of them has a working democracy...will Iraq be the 1st? I'd like to see it, but I'll believe it when I do.
