Thinking about all the people in the paths of the hurricanes. We have had a wet-ish/cool summer. Closed the pool this weekend. Had a spectacular thunderstorm and some wind last night, but all in all not a bad summer. Have to start thinking about putting the toys away for the winter in about a month.

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day here in MA. We headed over to Jamestown RI. We may see some rain later today or tomorrow. It has been windy, not sure if that's related to any of the storms out there. I don't think so, but we too are watching Irma. I suspect if she gets anywhere near close, my office phone will ring off the hook with folks who want to get their vessels out of the water before Irma shows up.

Yes I caught it and you won't believe how delighted I am that those pumps work! We could have an issue if we sustain an extended power outage, but I'm really hoping that doesn't happen. It is kind of amusing that we have to pump our crap uphill.

Yikes...now we have Maria and Lee. Maria is about to become a hurricane and go right over some of the islands affected by Irma.

Supposed to be fairly sunny today, but there is a dense fog over the river. The +1 decided not to wear his sunglasses for the half marathon he's running right now - good decision.

Weather has been really hot the past few days, which would not be so bad if the HVAC equipment were not sitting in the living room! Fortunately, a cooling off period is starting today, relatively speaking - 85 versus 92 yesterday. By the weekend, though, it gets really nice - 70s. Yay!

We've had dry weather in the 80's and 90's for the last 3 weeks! I've been watering parts of the lawn and some new trees we put in this summer because of the lack of rain. This has been the best 3 weeks of "summer." Guess we should have kept the pool open.
