I think Patty is fine with the San Bernadino fires. They are northeast of her and the wind blows from the ocean at Patty's so she shouldn't even have bad air quality. Posting only until Patty corrects me.

Unless they allow snakes on the plane, she's good there too.

There weren't any effing snakes on the plane, when I flew up to Sacramento yesterday. It's currently 94* at my daughter's house in West Sacramento. She had minor knee surgery this morning and I'm staying with her for a week.

It appears we have broken the hot streak, at least for the most part. It's actually a bit chilly here this morning - breezy and cloudy. Only in the upper 70s today. I'm pretty sure it was our hottest summer ever. Just awful.

Matthew has made a mess out of our planned trip to NC this weekend. I'm guessing our flights might still be on for Fri AM, but we won't be on them. My sis in Melbourne FL is gonna get hammered. She and her hubby are not evacuating. Now NC isn't looking quite as bad. Originally, the hurricane was supposed to be in NC Fri AM, but it is slow moving so isn't arriving there until maybe Sun AM. Still won't be fun, though. Val and Jim decided to ride it out in Murrells Inlet SC, too. Remains to be seen whether that is a good idea. for everyone in the path of this storm.
