My name is John, Gloria and I have been married 46 years. We now live in London Ontario. I'm 66. My first car was a 62 Austin Healy Sprite.
In 1977 my father and I opened a Honda Dealership in Chatham Ontario located between Windsor and London which I still have today. I'm fortunate to own a couple of S2000 CRs, a yellow and a Grand Prix white, both 2008s. Both will be running at Car Lapping events at Grand Bend Raceway in 2016 as well as a few Toronto Motorsports Park events. My sales manager runs the yellow car and I will be behind the wheel of the GPW CR. Both cars are drivien to and from the Track. Grand Bend Raceway is less than an hour away so Thursday Night Lapping events are great for this senior citizen. My wife, daughter and grand daughter go with us. I have a Porsche 991 GT3 RS which is due for delivery this coming April, just in time for the 16 Grand Bend Raceway season.
I will maybe see some of you at Grand Bend in 2016.

John and welcome! Cool cars. Do you have a sponsor for that Porsche?? Gorgeous, very fast, and at about $180K, a bit pricey!! I have always loved the 911. Even looked at some awhile back, but since I'm not driving much these days, I can't justify anything except my S. I'll live vicariously through you!
BTW - We have at least two big Austin Healey owners/fans - Legal Bill and dlq04 (Dave).

Welcome John. Sweet rides all!! Like you I loved tracking my S2000, usually at Gingerman in MI, before selling it. My vintage car is a 1959 MGA, one of several I've owned over the years. Like Deb, I love Porsches and would have a Cayman in the garage if the ride would have suited my wife's bad back better than the S2000 but after a 100 mile test drive we knew neither ride worked for her but the old MG still does.

Hello John. It sounds like your Sprite days are long behind you. I sold my last Bugeye in 2003. I still have a 1965 3000. No Porsche for me at the moment, but like Dave, I'm a big fan of the Cayman and may have one before the end of the ride.

Thanks everyone.
I have been a car nut for most of my life. Before we opened the Honda dealership we had a Mercury Lincoln Dealership which my dad opened in 1947 until 1972. We sold a numer of performance cars including Cortina GTs, a Lotus Cortina, a few Sunbeam Tigers, a few Shelby Mustangs, Boss 302 and Boss 429 Mustangs, Boss 302 and Eliminator Cougars Cobra Jets, Cobra Jet Comets and Cyclones as well as 4 of the 7 427 1967 Comets made by Ford Motor Company. We also ran a Drag Racing Team from 66 until 71.
I always wanted to road race. I preferred Sports Cars over Muscle Cars. Until the S2000s were released, my 62 Sprite was my favourite car. I had one of the original NSXs but sold it after 3,000 kilometres. My first Car Lapping experience was September 2010 when I took my 09 Porsche Boxster to a Pfaff Porsche event at Mosport. I was hooked. I had more fun that day then all my drag racing days combined (5 years). I got a Cayman R then a GT3 last spring to run with the S2000 CR. An opportunity to get a 16 RS was too tempting to pass up.
The White S2000 CR is the Honda I've been wanting. CRs were not brought into Canada and white is my favourite colour. Finding this one with only 17,000 Kilometers was just luck.
Everyone, have Fun with your S2000s.

You know, I could've sworn I joined this group in February of 2015 when I got the car - maybe even before that since I have been of the "vintage" age for a good while now. Have not been able though to figure out how to cut and paste the official "badge" though into my signature. My tech skills are even more proof of my vintage status.

Hello my name is Brian. My wife Krystal and I bought a 2007 rio yellow pearl with 53k miles last year. We live in Erie PA. We are "pre-vints". We have gone to a few Pittsburgh Cars and Coffee events and made some new amazing friends with other s2k owners. We are attending the Tomcatt Memorial event and look forward to meeting some of you!
