Thanks MsPerky.
I guess it's obvious...I love quotes. I have a number of them loaded in my BlackBerry whether serious, historical, or flat out nutty. I LOVE your first one by Schweitzer. Fortunately I have been pretty luck so far but to say I just had a conversation with my father yesterday that noted up until about a decade and a half ago all of us males in the family were doomed to die by 50ish was enlightening. Turns up there was a lot of wars and other factors involved in that number so it's now back to a quote, I think by Hemmingway that goes something like, "If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself."
It's a journey indeed. We're not guaranteed the quantity but we can make whatever it is quality.

Already posted earlier this year...getting closer. I'll be 40 on 12/2/09. Look forward to being a part of this group after so many years on s2ki and owning the S even longer.

Yes, I know the area. I went to undergrad school at UNC-G, and spent some time in Boone with friends who owned a vacation home there. My mother is from NC (Louisburg) and I had an aunt from Kinston.
