All:
Thanks for the welcome - and to Dave, thanks for your service to our nation. I have never forgotten how important and valued our veterans are, and always take the time to thank those I meet. I am sure the autobahn back then was much different than it is today, especially the average speeds. =) Still had to be fun in a Jag, though!
My drive to and from work puts me on the autobahn in less than 5 minutes from my doorstep, and thankfully the stretch I get onto has NO limits until about 3km from my work Ausfahrt (exit). On top of that, the traffic is virtually NON-existent when I am headed to and from work, so I see speeds in excess of 230-240kph DAILY (but only from about May to October, sadly). Despite that, I am still humbled by Audi R8's, Porsches (Carreras, Caymens, even Cayennes!), BMW sportwagons and of course the numerous A6 stationwagons that fly by me like I am standing still! =) I have learned to move over quickly, but it is still fun to play rabbit with these supercars! Nothing but smiles on my way to work, I must say.
I look forward to lurking and chatting with the old folks as my wife calls us =)

Welcome Mendii, we can only dream about those speeds here in Pittsburgh. Bad roads, traffic, and idiots keep us from truly enjoying a performance automobile.

I'm rounding 3rd so to speak and will be 40 in just a few months but I thought I would start becoming familiar with this forum and the group involved.

I understand, you guys, but this thread is primarily for new membership registrations and for welcoming new members. Maybe Jerry could start a pas2k return thread?
