Thanks for the warm welcome folks

Weather is sure nice here Jim, 60's this week, played golf today, almost all the snow is gone.

This year I plan on actually driving the S, MY04 only has 20k on it. Something happened when I hit 40, I woke up one morning and didnt feel the erge to put anymore worthless mods on the S.

Hi. I would like a badge for Vintage Owners. I bought my first S2000 (and hopefully not my last) when I turned 60. What a blast.

Welcome doctordarryl!

Smart man, buying that S2000 at 60. Aren't they great?

I've got an '05 Suzuka and had an '01 Silverstone. I'm 50/50 on getting an '09 Laguna Blue, but if I wait long enough, it will be sold and I'll have the decision made for me.

"Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out." - Oliver Wendell Holmes

I suppose it doesn't make a lot of sense for me to have purchased an S2000 about ten days ago. At 53 I suppose I should be buying a Mercedes or a Lexus. I've had two major back surgeries and more than a dozen more minor spinal surgical procedures. My doctors tell me that the problem isn't likely to get better. Getting in and out of the car isn't exactly a breeze for me. Also, due the the stock market meltdown, my business revenues are off 30%.

But I have this book, wherein I collect quotes, and I recently reread that quote by Oliver Wendall Holmes and I just decided that I wasn't going to wait anymore. Did I do the right thing? I don't know, but I'm enjoying the car - I'd like to report that I've already had a discussion with the local constabulary about acting my age. When I'm testing the limits of tire adhesion I briefly forget about the pain.
