My magnolias seem to have survived the snow, they are a bit more wilted, the temps hovered around freezing but did not go much below that point. About 2 inches of snow, which is pretty much gone now, ground temps were still warm enough to melt the snow.

It is impressive how fast snow can fall then. It's like someone dropping a fat quilt of snow on you.
I can remember seeing 4 inches in like 5 minutes. It was especially exciting because I was driving at the time.
An army 2 1/2 ton truck going downhill didn't stop real well and smacked a little car like a corolla.

My daughter lives in the Denver area and said that about a week ago they had thunder snow. She'd never known it existed and neither did some of her neighbors. They took to the internet and were asking each other what was going on. Thunder and snow? I've never experienced it either.

It has warmed up again here I would guess it is in the 60's (haven't been out of the house since Thurs.) Have the windows open and nice clean crisp air is wafting in.

Gorgeous day here. Mid-upper 60's. I'll take it.
