A couple days without electricity is not that big a deal if you have an snowmobile suit, ice fishing boots, and a fire place.

Good news, Jim.
We bought a small generator a few (several?) years ago. We've only used it a few times, but were glad to have it. We like having heat in the winter, and we'd prefer our food not spoil in the summer.
It's not a whole house generator, but enough to keep things running and keep us comfortable. Rick says he is getting too old to be uncomfortable in our own home.
A generator is like a snow blower. When you need it, you're glad to have it. We've gone winters where the snow blower may only come out once or twice and other years...............

I agree about the generator. I will get a small one that I can also use for camping.
I spent a couple of hours shoveling, roof raking and snow blowing some heavier snow today. More snow and above freezing temps coming to keep it heavy. I would like to try living someplace where I would only need a snow blower one or twice....

Our 1 to 2 inches of EXPECTED snow has turned into 6 plus and it is still coming down.

Ugh...we just had lots of rain today. Temps are finally going into the 50s for awhile, so I think that is the end of our cold temps. Wed will be 60! Yay!
