It's hard to not want a kitten if you love cats. I hope your wife finds a cat she can't resist. I require cats in my life.

My aunt in lower, slower Delaware reports that the storm was just a medium scale rain event there, but they were only on the outskirts of Fay's impact.

We, along with a whole lot of other people, are stuck in a hot and humid string of days. Normally in the early morning I open a window on the balcony to let in a breeze and maybe a bit of cooler air before the sun comes up. Not this AM. The humidity was so oppressive. Ugh...headed for 98 today with what I expect will be heat index of over 100. My rels in AZ are heating up even more than usual - 110-114.

Tomorrow we may see 90. Temps in 70's humidity over 80% this AM. I toughed it out at the outdoor class at the Y. Thankfully, we are mostly in the shade.

Cooling off a bit today from yesterday. Heat index is only 105 instead of 109.

Back to 109 heat index today until we got blasted by huge t-storms earlier. High winds and torrential rain. Luckily, the lights flickered but did not go out completely. I expect some parts of the area have seen considerable damage.

Even crazier t-storms last night. Much lightning and rain for about 40 minutes. Continuing today. But at least it will be only 86 instead of 96!

Rain yesterday, rain today, rain tomorrow. Tropical system season. Should help the grass finish filling in in the yard, though. All this rain is also keeping temps down to semi-reasonable.

Here is the 14 day forecast from weather.com. Looks like we get a break on August 4. Only "isolated" thunderstorms.

7-25-2020. Had a high of 84 today. I lucked out since I did 52 miles on my ElliptiGO.

^What a lovely surprise at 6:00 a.m. this morning!

^Later today at the end of my ride and just before the rain started.

Nice pics. You certainly have a lot of scenic places to ride to. We are in for more hot weather. Today and tomorrow will be sunny. Ugh. A few clouds would be nice - 90s again, 99 tomorrow. Who knows what the heat index will be - probably about 110. We are in a pattern that is not ending until Fri, when it looks like the 80s. Will feel cool I'm sure! Vito ran 13 miles yesterday morning. As long as the sun is not shining, it is bearable. Just...
