Much drier, more comfortable weather here. We've been wanting to check out a "herd of elephants" in Newport, RI, however I just could not deal with the heat. Mid-week is best right now at Newport is a big tourist attraction. I think we will head there on Wednesday.

Lovely day here. Took the P car and headed to Onset, MA with a friend to have lunch, get some steps, and ice cream too!

We've been getting the normal afternoon thundershowers in Loveland, CO. I almost got in 30 dry miles on my ElliptiGO yesterday. The last mile and a half it poured. When I started out from home I was hot so I kept getting my shirt wet. When I got back home I was squishing in my shoes. At least I wasn't hot. Two neighbors stopped to ask me if I wanted a ride. Once you're wet you might as well keep going. When I started my ride it was 83* and I finished at 73*.

^8-13-2024. At about 6 miles from home. I knew I was going to get wet somewhere on the way home.
^8-13-2024. At home and drenched but happy to have gotten in 31 miles.

Loveland got pounded for 30 or so minutes. I was lucky I was past Eisenhower/Highway 34 because it really flooded with gravel washed across the road.

Nudged 74 degrees here today, not bad for the tail end of Winter. We were supposed to get 70mph wind gusts at one point but haven't had much over 20mph so far, so I'm happy.

It's hot in Trabuco Canyon, CA. I should be out buying food and other items but I'm going to wait for the sun to set.

That's hot....humidity not bad though....
We had a nice day today. Lower-mid 70's and only a little humidity. I'll take it!

It’s fall like weather here today and I did notice a few trees with color coming into the leaves on them today. ‘They’ said it was going to be sunny today and it rained most of the day but that’s nothing new. Official stats are temps high of 59 and low of 49 with on/off rain.

Much cooler here…going to be 56 tonight. Like fall! Crazy. Back to 90 Sat and Sun. I have been reading that the leaves may not be the prettiest for our river cruise on the Hudson in Oct, due to the hot and dry weather we’ve had. Hope it turns out to be nice.
