along the lines of

quite accidently I discovered if we leave the AC on in the great room over the garage and leave the door down to the garage wide open, it will cool the garage as well.
The heat from the garage rises and gets sucked into the AC and the cold air sinks to the garage.
The basement is always cool as the foundation is well below grade, opening that door with a fan also helped keep it cool.

The last door is installed and almost done but I appear to have a problem with my optical safety sensors from the opener. They were there before, I didn't touch those.
Maybe I broke the leads tacking them down. that's not todays adventure.

Jerry, I don't think you have quite caught on to how retirement works, especially in this heat!

Tomorrow won't be any better.

not to mention ornery and obstinate.

I do pay attention to what my body is telling me.
If I didn't I would have punched out long ago.

Pay extra attention today. That heat is brutal. It's not a day for projects!

Currently 97 degree/ 42% humidity. I had to run out for some errands. Hot, but not brutal.

I had golf league last night. It was 93 degrees and about 60% humidity. Felt much worse than today.

Stay safe everyone.

Today is a feels like 89° day and I just spent 1.5 hours picking up branches from last night's storm. It's the same routine after nearly every storm with some strong wind. I never get used to it. Last night's brought down half dozen pine branches as well as all the usual dying branches from my garbage trees (black locus).

I played golf this morning. I teed off at 6:30AM. It wasn’t too bad but after playing 12 holes I stopped. It got very hot, very fast. I am 80 and listened to my body when it said, enough!! Got a cool shower and vegged in the A/C the rest of the day. Please be careful doing any outdoor activity as we are not young anymore and this heat can be dangerous to your health.
