77 degrees right now and ‘relatively’ sunny. Between late this morning and late this afternoon I got the rest of the WRX waxed. I had some old school rubbing compound that got the scratches out, it still has some black in the plastic so it’s not perfect but it is the best it is going to get without paint.

Pouring with rain here at the moment, heavy rain warning in place for 45 hours. So far the drains I've dug/widened recently are holding up and the new culverts are flowing freely. The paddocks are also looking pretty good, since it's the first rain of any note we've had for quite a while. I'd say the drought has definitely broken.

My station died Saturday. Called Davis Instruments Monday and they told me it was 17 years old and to return it to them for repair. Guess I can't complain, since this is the first time I've had any issues. ($90 for repair vs. $400 for a new unit.)

That repair price is reasonable but getting it down and packed up is a pain.

I was just looking for a new station this morning, we have a cheap unit that has slowly lost functionality and is now down to just date, time, temperature, pressure, and humidity. I want something that is Internet-enabled now, preferably without needing an always-on PC. Davis looks good but as usual we're punished for living in the middle of nowhere and charged insane prices. We also have to buy local due to RF differences so we can't just pick it up on Amazon.

I have had two different Davis units at home and a Davis unit at work. Even here in the State they are expensive but they are the gold standard.
