We got a warm spell this afternoon, I had the sunroof open on the WRX, I think it was about -5 degrees C., felt balmy.

I am hoping it was just a freak incident with the snow conditions, it was only the second time I have ever used it, less than 1 year old , one storm last year and first storm this year.

I've only used my Greenworks snow blower twice. It worked great with dry fluffy snow but did as you've described with the wet stuff.

Maybe spray down the chute and blade area with WD-40 or something equivalent.

I love my ariens pro28. At 420cc displacement it puts out on the order of 15 hp.
It will throw slush about 15-20 feet and snow up to 40"

Best snowblower I ever used was (big surprise) a Honda 928 with tracks. It was just about impossible to get it to bog out it would just keep revving. I had it in a huge mound of snow at one point you could barely see the machine but it just kept cutting through the snow.

I cleaned out part of the street that was salted and semi-slushy with very little problems. It handled the fluffy stuff with no problems. I was impressed.

I sold my gas powered snow blower a couple years back as I disliked the fumes, I don't miss that at all. I will put up with a weaker cordless blower as long as I don't have fumes to inhale.

I think I am in love. I found "the one."

Sadly my wife mumbled something about the one we have is pretty good.
They say if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.

but then again, if you can find one used....

maybe if I retire I can start doing driveways.
