Weatherman said 82 today in Napa-- Perfect. But yesterday he said 86 and it was 93, so I'll believe it when I see it.

I am seeing a report that says there will be excessive heat over most of the US for the rest of July. Then, of course, there is August. Ugh...hotter there than here, Patty. Low 90s.

I keep thinking or hoping that this is just an early heat wave and then we'll have a pleasant August. It's just kind of yin and yang. It's gotta relent.

Even my cats would rather be inside.

Hot and humid here I can feel it already and looks like rain. Headed to r.i. to pick up my Dad so looks like a good day to be in the car with the a/c going.

So far, tropical storm Fay has given us 1.66 inches of rain, with more to come. I'm sure Zippy is getting the same in NJ.
