^I know. My boyfriend didn't want to try driving his car back home to Fort Collins so I took him home in my Pilot. I don't have my snow tires on it yet but the CrossClimate2's worked great. I did put it in AWD in a few spots. I had a truck and some small car slide right by me at a red light, one on either side.

A threat of snow is on the way this week, we just put on the snow tires today, just in time. While not a fan of winter snow I do want to test out our new electric EGO snowblower. This will be our first winter in our new city, we are about 20 kms south of our old city which was in a snowbelt zone. I have been told we get less snow in our new city despite only being a short distance away, it is just enough to get out of the snowbelt, and it is a very fine line once you approach the tip of the zone.

I put my snow tires on in late September and they already saved me a few times.

I hate to admit it but the SUV's already had their snows on since I never took them off...
But we also didn't go anywhere. and the ML will probably need new rubber this year as well.

and as an aside, that ol' lake effect snow is kicking up in upstate NY with some areas getting 3 feet.
My son who is now in Seattle but went to school in Rochester snickered about it,

My nephew in Syracuse got caught up in a mess the other night. Slid his car into a guardrail. His wife suggested he wait until the morning to leave on his business trip, but did he listen?

^ There is a spot just near Buffalo on the east side of Lake Erie, that gets crazy lake effect snow, 3-6 feet during some storms. You could not pay me enough money to live there, if you need a roof snow shovel that is no place for me to live,.

^ I agree. Had a cousin who lived there. They already got over 3 ft this week.

Today's temp was in the mid-upper 40's but darn it felt so much colder! I was near the water having lunch with a friend and we popped in and out of a few shops. I was freezing!
