Surf's Up! We're cooling off and there will be 6 ' rollers on the beach. Every time we get those it's amazing how many kids don't go to school and head for the beach. Our sons used to do the same. Their HS asst principal went out on the pier with a video cam and was trying to pick them all out. HAHA My Grandsons may be there if they conned my son into it.

75F today with strong winds beginning around noon. Sunny sky Happy Surfer Day. Water temp is 76

21 degrees here currently. It snowed off and on yesterday so a little bit of white stuff on the grass but no real accumulation. Mostly sunny today with a high of 39 and a low of 20.

our first cold day below 32 degs (0 C) and we had our first fatality in my small town as two vehicles hit head-on. It appears one vehicle crossed the center line and hit the other opposing vehicle. My hypothesis is that a pick-up truck with RWD hit a patch of slippery road and spun around into opposing traffic. We didn't get any snow but the roads were covered in a very thin slippery bit of ice and frost, almost like black ice but not very thick. I was on my way to work heading the opposite way and I could feel the wheels of my SUV spinning occasionally and it felt weird as you could not see any snow or ice on the road. Just the very conditions I hate, super dangerous. I'd rather have 1 foot of snow , much safer.

Hard frost last night. Very hard frost! Plants that were alive yesterday are no more.

We have had several hard frosts plus about 1” of snow Tuesday night! Remainder of the plants will go out next of trash day.

It's been brisk the last two days. The bike went into storage last Friday. and the GTS and SL63 have summer tires, so they're useless below 40° as well.
sigh.

Yesterday took the S out for it's last ride of the year, topped off the gas tank. Today will hook up the battery tender, and put the cover on for it's winter nap.

Surprisingly they haven’t dumped any salt on the roads in my area yet so I might take the S out for a blast this weekend.
