102ºF right now (6pm, PDT) in LA area. 19% Humidity. Dry heat, like an oven.

Glad you are not in harms way. Northern areas are going to be slammed very soon. Storm surge is going to be very dangerous. Why people choose to ride it out is so stupid. They are on their own.

^ I've never experienced a dry heat, I'd like to feel it some day, but hot is hot any way you cook it.

When I was in Phoenix it was over 100. The locals said it’s a dry heat. I responded saying then why am I sweating like a pig.

It is an interesting feeling Joey, it's a dry roast, you know like a peanut.
I had to work for a while in 118°F heat. My phone quit working from overheating.
Thankfully most of the time we were in the control trailer with AC.
Staying hydrated is real important because you never feel the sweat.

I am a victim of Idalia. Something blew in my eye yesterday. Today I ended up with an optometrist lifting my eyelid and looking around. She got out 1 piece of something black. Gave me some drops and told me there may be another piece she didn't find but I have loose eyelids. Loose eyelids. Hmmmm. I guess it scratched up my cornea and if it doesn't feel better by Friday come on back and she'll look around some more.
Wonder if I can apply for a federal Grant (jk). My house and business were both untouched but Idalia got my eye.

It's 68° here. Great in the sun but really cool for me with cutoffs in the shade thanks to gusts up to 20 mph.

76, very cloudy here. We both had haircuts this morning. For excitement this afternoon, I gave the bathroom a fall type of cleaning. Fresh shower curtain, window valance, cleaned windows, woodwork and all that.

Rick just went outside to clean wheels on the P car. Good day for these chores and nice to be able to decide to do them when we feel like it.

Tomorrow's weather was looking nice. Maybe a top down ride and lunch in Plymouth, MA.
