super hot weather today, we had our tornado threat last week and it did not develop as it could have, just strong winds , lots of rain , and some hail. Luckily I put a new roof on the home a few weeks ago prior to the big rains and winds. Glad I went with a high wind rating roof as we get some wild wind events from time to time.

Nice day today. No floods, no skies filled with smoke just sunny and in the 80’s. Took a nice ride with Pops top down in the S.

Hotter than hell here. Heat index to hit 111 on Saturday. I got the ac cranked down in the garage as I have details tomorrow and Friday. Water temps in key west are 101. They say the water feels like a sauna. Friends in Naples are not playing golf or going to the beach. Staying indoors !!!

PJM, the grid operator for the east (Illinois to the east coast) is worried about the availability of electricity and is calling on generator operators to be ready for a hugh draw on the system.

Just got caught in an insane downpour on the highway, can’t believe how much rain came down in such a short time.

Very bad storms last evening to bring an end to our brutally hot weather. They were the worst since the derecho of 2012. Lots of damage, power outages, etc. Fortunately, they ended before we went out!

Friend is in from California this weekend. Spent the day at his brother's condo at the NJ shore. This was just after dinner and just before the storm came in...
Today, should be wonderful weather, have the gang at our house for the day.
