We got lucky. The worst of the weather went just south of us. According to the TV it sounds like there was damage done across the state. We will see what the light on day brings!

My picture above is the closest I've ever come to tornado activity, we don't get many in our region but it does happen every so often.

Was about 80 and sunny earlier here in Providence, but that is changing. Rain moving in. Tomorrow looks fairly rainy and also the next day in New Bedford. After that conditions improve.

Sorry the first part of your trip doesn't have the best weather. Enjoy anyway, I'm sure you will.

It's almost sunset and it's still 87F with high humidity and a hazy sky.

Joey, frequently tornadoes can be shrouded in heavy rain. You never see them coming.
I suspect on a divided highway your options become rather limited.
That was an F0 without touchdown. An F5 can be a mile wide at the base.

I remember back in 86’ we had a tornado go through Providence. I was living the next city over and wasn’t affected at all but had a friend that lived on Union avenue in Providence and the tornado went straight down union avenue. It was an F-2 with wind speeds from 113 to 157 miles an hour.

I remember watching on live TV when this tornado formed and passed through Springfield, MA.
Generally we don't look in our mirrors for tornadoes.
