Yup that is what my Dad says there is always a breeze near the ocean. I didn’t think it would be so humid here in the mountains when I first moved up here but I found out fast that it can be just as humid if not more here than it is in the city.

Winter arrived late yesterday afternoon, just as I was finishing up in the paddocks, so I was caught in a bit of a downpour just as I was putting the tractor away. Single flash of lightning, huge peal of thunder, and drizzly rain ever since. Struggling to hit 55 this morning.

I wish the weather would figure out what it's doing. go from running the AC to turning on the heat.
It's sunny! no it's raining! no it's sunny still raining! wait it's clearing ! no... well you get the idea.

Yep! We are too old to be cold/hot in our home. We too have run both systems recently. Sometimes both in the same day.

We arrived in the Hudson Valley area a couple hours ago. Now it looks like the skis are turning a weird shade of almost yellow...it's the smoke from the wild fires. Stinks too. Top up tonight!

Thursday, another smoky, hazy day in the DMV. A Code Red Air Quality Alert is in effect here in the DMV, which means air pollution concentrations within the region have become unhealthy for all. Aside from the smoky conditions, humidity levels will remain low with comfortable afternoon highs in the upper 70s. It's 61*F with a smoky haze at 0625. We are looking at hazy sun with winds from the Northwest 5-10 mph and highs in the upper 70s. Tonight there's more hazy skies and winds from the Northwest around 5 mph. The lows tonight will be in the mid-50s to 60 degrees. How's your weather?
