I love driving in snow conditions, I dislike rain more than snow, not a fan of freezing rain.

Good luck with the storm Rob ! Put that Subaru to good use buddy

Yeah, ice, especially black ice, is really scary!

And, you do it in the dark, do you not?

Hope you do not get as much as they are predicting.

Any idea of your total snow this season? A record?
Well now I will be traveling to work in the light I leave a bit before five thirty. The thing I'm not liking about this storm is the wind, last year we had a storm in April and the wind was blowing the snow so bad that I couldn't see the turn off to the second highway I take on the road home. There is an old hotel at the intersection so I pulled in there and after making 2 attempts to find the entrance to the highway I found it on the third. When it is not crazy windy or extremely heavy snowfall it is pretty peaceful driving through the snow at one in the morning.
No idea of the total snowfall so far but probably not as much as you would think. We didn't get much until later in the winter when we had storms which measured in feet but we only had a couple of those storms so far.

Too much rain and snow. Floods are already starting due to the rain. As far as wildfires, the trees and all won't be parched which is good but the undergrowth will grow more than usual which makes more fuel.

I currently have my 2022 WRX with the Subaru AWD system, and I have my 2019 Honda CR-V with the Honda AWD system. You wouldn't think there is much difference in AWD systems these days, but the Subaru system is just much more stable to me, even with much less clearance it feels like a little tank going through the rough stuff. It is an older system but tried and true I guess.

I need to run to the store. Anyone have snorkel and flippers I can borrow?

Four inches in 24 hours Friday. Another inch now on "light weekend", and tomorrow another atmospheric river headed our way. Flooding is not an issue at our home, thankfully.
