It snowed/rained all night with maybe 3 or 4 inches of accumulation but it is coming down pretty good right now. Glad I don’t have to be anywhere this morning.

I got back to Colorado from California on Tuesday evening just before the snow started. It's really sticking around this winter as it hasn't been warming up enough to melt it.

45 y ars ago today Boston got hit with a large snow event dropping 24" inches of heavy white stuff on the city. Further inland it was even deeper. I remember the snowbanks in front of my mother's house we're 4-5' tall.
this backdrop set the stage for the BLIZZARD OF '78. Which would come 3 weeks later.

It’s been snowing since about six last night. Had a white knuckler coming home early this morning, for the first half of my ride home anyways. Climbing the mountain it was sleet, ice and snow but then the second half of my commute was all pure snow which was a lot less stressfull to drive in and it makes everything pretty. Supposed to keep snowing until early evening expecting about a foot where I am.

we got nuisance snow of about 2-3" then we got some more of the same 1.5" then rain which turned the snow to slush and now more nuisance snow.
Have to get out there this afternoon and clean it up before it all freezes into a big mess.

Still snowing here we have probably a foot of new snow at this point. Cars are off the road all over and our local police reported on their Facebook page that there is a trailer truck blocking both lanes of traffic on the highway that I take to work.
They are also advising that people stay off the road as conditions are hazardous and the storm is expected to continue until 5 p.m.

We've had years where our area close to the coast is slammed with snow storms while up north, not so much. So far this year, we've only had dustings of snow, while over in Jerry land (Bolton Blue) they have had some snow, not a ton though.
Right now it's snowing those big flat flakes. We had sleet earlier. The snow is sticking to the trees, grass, not so much the road. That's OK with me. Stay safe, Rob!

Well Lainey,
it would appear we got enough snow to knock out the power. It flickered a few times so we had.time to fill the tub. Now we can use.the toilet without worrying about flushing. Dinner was already in the oven and almost done.
lots of charged batteries, so we can see.
It's also a big enough outage that it should get attention quickly.
