Exceptionally and unseasonably warm today. 54°F
The lawn is snowless and muddy, both a atypical at this time of year.
I'm fine with it since we are heating much.

Sounds almost like here. It hit fifty degrees overnight in Bennington Vt. It is in the 40’s were I am and most of the snow we got yesterday is gone. Our lawn is nice and green.

I left my Orange County CA house on Friday morning and got back on Sunday late afternoon. My rain gauge showed 2.5 inches.

I think we are now about 15 inches ahead of where we were Christmas.
Patty, our rain gauges are identical. Not sure how accurate they are though.

The cyclone has finally left the country now. An area about 100 miles north of me was devastated by flooding, they had nearly 16 inches of rain in 3 days in an area with a lot of forestry. The practices used by the loggers there leave a lot to be desired and a huge amount of slash (branches that have been trimmed during felling) was carried down rivers and left a big mess.

We had cold, a little snow, a little sleet. The snow mostly stuck to the grassy surfaces and the cars. We also had a little icy sleet mixture this AM, which made walking over to our Y lady morning social hour a bit hazardous.
Not tempted to spend any time outside today,

We have had on and off rain/ice/snow the last couple of days and nights. Looks like we are finally going to get more snow. We have a storm happening tonight, expecting 8-12 inches tonight then tomorrow another 1 to 3 during the day then sunday night 5 to 8 inches then monday another 1 to 3 inches.
