From what I've seen this is a pretty rough storm, thoughts are with those of you who are suffering.

55°F today. That is almost 90°F swing from the wind chill last Friday to the wind chill today!

It was almost like our version of a hurricane in winter. It pummels you hard and causes deaths and damage, and then it leaves the region and the next day all is peaceful again.

The windchill added a real dimension to the storm , I've never felt a windchill that bad before. I've felt a -30 degree C temp before, and this time we had -18C that felt like -30 C windchill equivalent. This felt much worse than an actual -30 degree C temp.

I agree. I went out to fill the bird feeders during the storm and the wind hurt plus I had very little exposed skin. I would say that it was the coldest feeling I even felt!

Beautiful day out. Went with family to a local breakfast place and to the park after. Posh and Sporty had fun.

Yup it was a painful cold. I needed 2-3 minutes to clear a 4 foot snow drift on my front porch using a shovel, it was so painful towards the end of it I couldn't stay out much longer than that. My head felt like it was turning to ice, and I was bundled up.

A strong wind will get your attention and it doesn't have to be that cold.
Back when i had my bike the first time, i had to ride home late without the proper clothing.
It was around 30°F but was 30-40 on the bike. It was a 20 mile ride.
I was freezing so bad I could hardly ride.
I really can't comprehend subzero ( in F) and 70 mph gales.
I've seen 40 below a few times but it's always very calm then.

The two feet of snow we got a few weeks ago is disappearing quickly. Currently it is 42 degrees and we are expecting a high of 52 and a low of 40 today with rain.

Temps reached 70 here yesterday and it was a beautiful day. Today has started out foggy but temps are in the high 50s now and expected to reach high 60s. There will be some rain.
