It's 50 here right now with heavy rain and wind gusts. I'm glad they pushed our snowbanks back yesterday most of the snow is melting/running off into the yard but the driveway is still pooling up.

We're having heavy wind gusts as the temps begin to fall. The wind gusts are exceeding those we had with Hurrican Ian. Several trees down across roadways. Uggggg to everyone in the path of this mess.

Our roads are icy and we are getting a pretty steady amount of snow fall. Winds are strong so snow is coming at ya almost horizontally.

I was out driving today for work, happy to drive my WRX which is made for this stuff. One lady who seen an ambulance approaching in the far off horizon decided to slam on the brakes in front of me ( I could not see ambulance being behind her and the ambulance being a 1/2 mile up the road). I could not brake in time to stop so I was able to swerve around her and get back into my lane safely. I don't know who needs to slam on the brakes when they see an emergency vehicle way down the road but I through the situation just fine. The WRX was composed enough to allow me to swerve around the other car once braking was not going to save me.

The trick here is going to be timing when to put the salt down, too early and it will wash away and obviously they don't want to be too late. Our Govenor was just on the news asking everyone to get where they need to be by 4 p.m. today and stay off the roads. We are expecting to go from 51 to 6 degrees late this afternoon.

I just went outside to shovel off the front porch, the drifts are blowing into the front of our home and the winds are circling round and round. I was out there for literally 2 minutes and the pain was intense on my face, the snow blasting and circling winds are nuts. I think one could die in very short order being caught outdoors. It is so gross. I don't know how people go out and clear snow in this weather, you just can't stay out for very long.

The sun came out from behind the fog and it has warmed up enough (50s) that I'm headed outside to wash my SL.
Have rain coming next week, maybe two inches they say. I'll be in Mexico. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.......
