They get very excited about cold weather here in Florida. They just sent this weather warning out. It's 75 out. We might hit a low of 60.Be prepared.
COLD WEATHER SAFETY TIPS. DOH-Collier recommends the following safety tips to stay healthy and safe during cold weather: •Stay indoors as much as possible. Check on family members, friends, and neighbors who are more vulnerable to cold weather hazards including older adults, young children, and those who are chronically ill. •When outdoors, wear proper clothing. Dress in multiple layers of loose-fitting clothing. Wear a hat, scarf, and gloves. •Heat your home safely. Be extremely careful when using a fireplace, wood stove, or space heater. Never leave flames and fires unattended and keep them away from children and pets. •Prevent carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Never use generators, grills, or other charcoal burning devices inside your home or garage. •Provide pets with warm shelter. If it is too cold for you, it is too cold for your pets. •Be cautious of animals that are displaced due to the cold weather. Never approach or touch a wild or feral animal including cats, bats, or raccoons, especially if they appear sick or injured as they could have rabies.

We have lots of rain coming for tomorrow and Fri AM. Then the bottom drops out on temps. Going from 50 to 20 very quickly Fri PM. Advised not to travel Fri PM to Sat PM due to sudden freezing. So we are rescheduling a dinner for Fri to next week.

Stay dry to stay warm. And if you layer, be mindful of ventilation and perspiration. How does someone in Mississippi know about this stuff? I grew up in western New York State.

We are expecting snow tomorrow night with amounts of 4 to 6 inches, then Friday temps are going to go up to 51 degrees and we are expecting heavy rain and wind then it will be dropping to 7 degrees and everything is expected to freeze over.
I really feel bad for all the delivery drivers they are already overloaded with work this time of year and this weather definitely won't be helping them any.

The drop in temperatures was pretty close to the prediction. The high was 49° and then at around 3:30 pm, it started dropping, fast. It was -4° when I looked a bit ago.
^Buckhorn Creek on my 4 mile walk at 49°.
Light snow at -4°.
