It's opening day up on the mountain and it is 42 and raining, hopefully it changes over to snow for the skiers and riders.

We had temps in low 50's again today. It was quite breezy but so pretty!! A friend and I headed over to Westport, MA and Gooseberry Island. Snowy owls have been spotted there in the past and, at times, there is a nice assortment of shore birds and ducks. Not so many birds today, but a most pleasant walk.

Cold tomorrow, lots of rain expected on Wednesday.

Supposed to get some decent rain tonight. Tried to find someone to clean the gutters, but no luck. So I did it myself with the wife standing guard, ready to call 911. Did the worst of it in just over an hour. Much more and my legs would have fallen off.

I have an annual aneurysm ultrasound on Friday but a major reason for this trip was for my ex father-in-law's 90th birthday celebration on Saturday. I wanted to see people there I haven't seen in 17 years who I used to see at Hanukkah and Passover. But the party boy and his girlfriend both tested positive for Covid today. I still have other fun plans so it's not a wasted trip. It's nice to see green.

2 days of non stop heavy winds here. Power flickered here a few times but we lucked out as it didn't go totally out. The street next to me has a very large tree branch resting on a power line. It has caution tape around it which I have never seen before they always take care of it right away, maybe the power co. is short staffed.
