^^^Supposedly it is more because of the roads, parking lots etc. are under lots of snow. Not the field conditions.

I talked to a friend last night near Buffalo, in Amherst.

At the time they had about 4 inches, 20 minutes south, 4 feet and 20 minutes north of him, nothing.

Dave- they were saying parts of Michigan were also hit pretty hard with lake effect snow. Anything near you?

Me too, you know it is bad when a Canadian says that.

We live in a snow belt region here where we get lake effect snow every season. The Great Lakes are huge, and we are sandwiched between two of them (Lake Huron and Lake Erie) A big storm here is 12 inches, we might see that a couple times in a bad winter season, many seasons we might not see it once. But I never want to see what they are getting in Buffalo, never ever !.

^11-17-2022. Thursday, the high was 28*and low was 16*. We had light snow all day.

^11-18-2022. The snow didn't accumulate.

^11-18-2022. High of 29* Friday, with a low of 8*. I drove for SAINT. My Pilot slipped a bit going down my long, steep driveway in AWD. I forgot to put the SAINT magnets on the side doors but decided there was no way I'd make it back up my driveway to get them if I was slipping going very slowly down it. I had to let two people know I was their driver. They rely on those signs. I already have an appointment to get my Blizzak snow tires swapped back on. I made it weeks ago but it's on this coming Tuesday.

^6-26-2022. I parked in this same spot yesterday and went inside to find my passenger. I saw him walk out to find SAINT but without the magnets to see he went back inside. He's a regular of mine and I take him home from dialysis. He was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt.

It is a real nightmare in the city as there is nowhere to put it. We have had a few storms here with between 3 and 4 feet and you just have to realize that you aren't going anywhere for awhile, it takes a long time to clean it up but we do have a lot of places to push/move the snow to unlike in the city.

I'm not ready for snow. It's a cold and windy 45 degrees today. Even with the sun out, I'm mostly staying in.
