We were supposed to get high winds yesterday but we managed to avoid them , thankfully. Wind damage causes us lots of grief.

Same here I get pine needles all over the WRX no matter were I park it in the dooryard. I blew it off yesterday and cleaned out the engine bay but it will end up being covered again today. On the plus side I am enjoying the cool, crisp breeze.

Our warm temps will come to an abrupt end on Tues. May set a new record tomorrow of 79. Then the high drops 20 degrees Tues and stays in 60s/50s for the foreseeable future. It has also been windy.

Same here, tomorrow is the last day of warm temps and looks like rain for next weekend. I was just thinking better do what needs to be done in warm temps as this weather is a gift. Think I'm going to treat the seats and get the interior cleaned on the S tomorrow.

Dooryard, Rob? You are the only one I know that uses that term!
We had another warm one. I puttered around the house for a bit, and went for a short afternoon stroll. Spotted an osprey overhead with 1/2 fish in one talon. I was surprised to see it. Usually by this time, the Osprey have flown off to their winter homes.

I used to put quotes around it but I had a conversation here with Jerry (boltonblue) were I explained it. I had only heard of it in Stephen King books until I moved up here.
My house has a regular driveway when you come in from the road wide enough for one vehicle but then it opens up into a space that would hold about 6 cars straight ahead and about 6 more cars to the right.

I had never heard the word dooryard before.

Robb, I think you need to buy lots more cars to fill up all of those spaces in the dooryard!

We normally go for our nightly walk around 7 pm in recent weeks, we will do it now at 6pm with the time change, or just walk in the dark at 7 pm.

One minor issue with that my landlord might object
A while back a bunch of my friends came up to go snowmobiling for the weekend and I didn't have room for all of them to stay at my house but did have room for them to leave their trailers and sleds in our 'dooryard'.

I was thinking it may have been what we refer to as a carport - but they have covered roofs over top. I am still learning something new every day it seems, that is good.
