Finely heard from my oldest daughter, she got a phone signal about 30min ago. All of our kids, grandkids and great-grandkids are fine. Obviously they have property damage but all the homes are good. They live in North Port and all the streets are flooded with 4-5ft of water.

glad to hear people are safe, I suspect many did not survive and they may find out over the next few days.

Jim those aspens are beautiful and match your car!!

dlq/Dave, did your daughter and her family make out OK with the storm?

Our Vintage friend from back in the day, Connie (her husband was SSSSnakes) had moved to FL a few years ago and I think she was in Venice. She's not here or on FB these days Hope she made out OK.

My former boss sent me a pic of what happens when a Tesla meets seawater.....burned and not much left but a shell. This was in the garage of the condo where he lived previously in Marco Island, FL

My daughter lives half-way between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Last I knew, all is good. Long wet day with wind but I think it was in the 40 mph range; less than predicted. Things had intensified but was moving more to the east. They expect flooding issues in Jacksonville. They are inland but with enough rain the alligator that lives in the runoff lake behind them could make them glad they had a rod iron fence in back.

My friend is in Melbourne. He texted me yesterday that they were sheltered in place, and chose not to put the storm shutters up. The projected track wasn't headed that way.

Today - got a text- all good, lots of rain and wind. It's track was about 10 miles from them. They've come out effectively unscathed.

Hope everyone in the areas impacted stays safe!

The causeway to Sanibel Island is destroyed, cutting off the island to vehicle traffic.

I saw somewhere that some Tesla that came in contact with the salt water just burst into flames and burned to a crisp?
