When I wake typically from my bed, I look at the deck railing outside our bedroom.
This morning I looked out and the railing had nothing. My first thought was "ah they blew it big time."
I have no idea how much we have, a few inches maybe but it is blowing around really hard.
We have had periods of sideways snow and snow devils blowing across the yard.
Really small fine snow flakes.

The generator was inexpensive, the electrical work to have it wired properly was more expensive. It's not as convenient as a whole house generator, but it does the trick.
I have heat, lights (selected) refrigerator is running, cable is still working, so I have wi-fi and TV. All the necessary creature comforts. The power outage in some areas was very brief, but ours is still out.

Rick just headed out to start round 1 of clean up. With the way the snow is blowing, it's going to be a tough job to clear the snow and keep it clear.

So does that mean less drifting in those high winds?

Could be, but the way the winds are blowing, who knows where the snow will land.

We are now getting fluffy snow, winds blowing, snowing sideways! Just went out to bang some of the snow off the bird feeders. Feeders are pretty frozen, but I manged to get some seed on the ground and the birds were right on it.

The paths Rick cleared earlier already have quite a bit of snow on them. It's awful out there. Sorry, Patricia, no pics. I do not delight in this at all. Maybe when the winds stop blowing. Right now windows are pretty much snow covered.

I told Rick if something happens to him, I'll have to move to old people housing. No way would I deal with this crap on my own. Of course, I can hire people, if anyone wants the job......
