I just went out and cleaned off the WRX snow felt light enough figured I could get the WRX through it NOT happening it's beached. Called the plow company they said they are headed to our neighborhood next. Rule of thumb in Vt is if you can't get you car out that means stay in but I have that pesky work ethic.

Sometimes AWD just doesn't work all the time, I had a 4WD truck that did the same thing, they get beached and pushed upwards and that is it.

Yup I shoveled out what I could get to but even after the plow came it still wouldn't budge. The plow driver was about 20 and he jumped out and started to push then shoveled more around the car, wish I was young again!

Well over a foot, now it's raining. Headed off to the next event which will be going to work with all the MLK traffic headed back to N.Y. and N.J.

I just wish the plow driver that does our sub give's a crap. We are on a stub deadend street. It never gets plowed until day 2, if then! All the sub is good, since we didn't get any new snow yet (sent it to Cleveland) but our street is solid ice and has been for a couple weeks.

Same here. Our contractor does a sh!t job. Our driveway was never cleaned fully, the streets are down to one lane and they are nowhere to be found.

Same here this is a sore spot for me. We have had the same company doing our plowing for over 30 years, and they used to be the best around but in the last 5 years or so they have just gotten worse and worse. People say well there are so many people here now they are busy and get behind to which my argument is how about they don't take on more jobs than they can handle. I know a bunch of people that have worked there for 15 or 20 years and they have all left in the last 5-10 years. It's just greed, they take on more jobs than they can handle and push their employees. The last two big storms we have had I haven't been able to get out to work and every other driveway on my street was plowed out way before we were. I think I'm just going to start parking my car at the end of the driveway when we have a storm so I can get out.

I have ice. I've never experienced this before. I have ice melt but I'm afraid I'd crack my head open or break a bone just getting it out there. I took two steps out my slider door and out my front door and slid a bit. Appointments canceled.

1-19-2022. Black ice driveway.
