Thermostat says it's holding at 70°. but it sue doesn't feel like it.
5°F or -20°C for Emil. a bit on the brisk side this morning.
Titan was rather insistent at the door after his morning business trip.
It's really nice not having to take him out on a leash when it's like this.

Now that is cold Emil. Too cold for pond hockey.

We are getting another snowstorm this weekend…looks like about 7” here and 11” out at nephew’s place. Cold air will be in place for awhile. Winter has arrived!

Since this is weather related, posting here. Forty years ago today, a plane hit the 14th St Bridge and went into the Potomac River. I had left work early because of the storm, so was not on or crossing the bridge at the time of the crash. It was/is a major event in DC history. From WTOP news, an article about the crash with many pictures. There was also a fatal Metro train derailment around the same time, but it was somewhat overshadowed by the plane crash.

Wow, certainly lots of photos of the aftermath. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see any numbers saying how many survived.

If I did the math correctly I think it was five that survived.

My recollection is a bystander died while saving people from the icy Potomac.
