I hated to leave SC. We had such a great weather week. However, my local sister went one October and had nothing but rain. Given I have family there, I would not mind spending more time there, especially when we have the really lousy weather. I do know I would not want to be there during the summer....No plans for extended stay right now.

Started raining last night at about 11 and was about 45. Temps dropped to a low of 41 on my drive home from work so luckily I didn't have to deal with freezing rain or ice. Had very heavy rains this morning.

Rain has mostly gone east and south. Final tally; in the six days we got 11.8 inches in my back yard. That's 6 tenths of an inch shy of our total rainfall last season. A few more storms like this would bring the reservoirs way up and give us a great snow pack.

It sure was huffing and puffing out there last night and hasn't abated a whole lot this morning.
I don't recall the trees ever bending over quite like this but somehow he power has stayed on.
I am awfully glad it is wet and not white stuff.
Would have been a white mess.

Wild and windy. Most schools cancelled. No haircut for me today. No power at the hairdresser's home. My sister (just a few miles from me) has no power, my son has power. We had a flicker or two, but still have power.
More winds and rain for a while today.
