I've had a dry warm summer in Loveland. Dry air and almost no rain. At least the smoke hasn't been as bad. Hazy days this year, so far, but no where near like last year. It seems like the 90s and high 80s will never go away. I hope we don't go from summer to winter with no fall.

We had one of the hottest summers on records and a couple months set records for rain (I think). Overall, it's been a somewhat lousy summer. Hoping for a better fall.

Just saw a video of a guy floating on a plastic raft in a flooded alley in NYC, smoking a hookah!

3 cops got swept into the water about 15 minutes from me, One began to shoot his pistol and they were found and rescued.; https://midjersey.news/2021/09/01/br...way-by-floods/

It's near my old office and right near Cindy's. The storm must have been really bad there, her office closed last night for today and tomorrow.

Hi All, here is my response to Rob's thread:
Thanks for asking Rob. We are fine. If you have seen the news about Mullica Hill, that is about 15 minutes from my house. The cell that spawned that one, also spun up a less powerful twister a couple miles from our house, it did a lot of tree damage. Thank goodness we came through okay, not even a flooded basement. The same cell spun up at least once more 30 miles north.

Gary is correct, we got hammered, as did the Phila Area folks (in PA) Some towns got more than 12 in of rain, flooding is terrible in the city with major highways underwater still. Wilmington, De. is having significant flooding as well. This was a bad one.

Thanks for the update and good news (at least for you guys), Ken. We were thinking about you when news started breaking about flooding and storms in NJ. Glad to hear you came through ok.

We survived untouched except for a lot of rain. Thankfully there was little wind here otherwise I'm sure the trees and wires would've been toppled. Randolph, NJ, where I live, is the second highest point in New Jersey. We almost never get flooding. Only a few miles from here there is a lot of flooding and many buidlings are closed.

I'm glad that Ken and Gary made it through with minimal damage.

There was a confirmed tornado on Cape Cod, a possible microburst a couple towns over, 9" of rain in some parts of the city I used to work in. We got about 2.5" of rain. Some roads in surrounding areas had flooding, some trees down, etc. Compared to many other areas we got lucky.
